There are several risk factors you cannot change including getting older, genetic mutations, family history, among other things. However, you can lower your risk of breast cancer by working on the 5 things below.

5 Things A Woman Can Do For Her Breast Health:

  1. Watch your diet.
  2. Exercise regularly.
  3. Maintain healthy body weight.
  4. Don’t smoke!
  5. Limit alcohol! The more you drink, the greater your risk.

Staying healthy throughout your life will only lower your risk of developing cancer later on. Women who are the age of 50 to 74 years old should receive a mammogram every two years.
