Governor Phil Murphy has joined the call from several lawmakers nationwide for more funding for the U.S. Postal Service as it prepares for mail-in balloting this November. The Postal Service has told New Jersey and other states it cannot guarantee that absentee ballots will be delivered in time to be counted this November. House Democrats have included 25-billion dollars in their version of the coronavirus relief bill, which is pending in the Senate. President Trump said decisions by states such as New Jersey to expand mail-in voting are adding to the problems the Postal Service faces.
