Woodbridge TE Jesus Cabrera and QB Anthony Santino warming up before Friday nights North 1, Group 4 title game in Allendale.

Woodbridge’s undefeated season came to an end Friday night, as the Barrons fell 37-7 to Northern Highlands in the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 Championship Game in Allendale, NJ.  Woodbridge finishes its season at 10-1, the most wins in a single season in school history.

Ali Lee, Jr., the GMC’s leading runningback, finished the game with just 102 yards on 12 carries.  His 80-yard touchdown run with less than a minute to go in the first half was the Barrrons’ only score, and seemed at the time to give Woodbridge momentum, even though the first half belonged to the Highlanders.  In fact, Lee’s score answered an 89-yard touchdown run by Highlands’ Ethan Harris, who finished the game with career highs of 329 yard and four touchdowns on 35 carries, numbers similar to what Lee has put up in many game this year.

After the game, WCTC’s Mike Pavlichko spoke with head coach Joe LaSala and runningback/cornerback Ali Lee Jr.
