The Somerville Pioneers finally broke open their offense in the fourth quarter, but the Wilson Tigers answered right back.

Held in check for most of the South Jersey Group 3 finals, 2nd-seeded Somerville got a 50-yard touchdown pass from Justin Brenner to Kyree Hinton to cut it to a two-score game.  But Wilson kept answering, and added one more on for good measure, and the Tigers took the crown for the second year in a row, beating The ‘Ville 54-30.

Hinton finished the game with three touchdowns, two on catches – his first went for 39 yards) and one on the ground for 54 yards.  But the ground game couldn’t get established in the first half, and by the time the Pioneers broke through with some big plays, the game became an offensive free-for-all.

Somerville finishes its season at 10-2.
