No surprise at the top of the WCTC Central Jersey High School Football Top Ten, as Piscataway makes it 14 straight weeks leading the rankings.

But at the bottom, Watchung Hills (3-0) debuts at Number 10, its first appearance in the rankings since Week 7 of 2013, when the Warriors were 10th with a 5-2 record.  They dropped out the following week.  It’s their highest ranking since at least 2008, the oldest year for which records are available.

The Warriors are coached by former New York Giant and Super Bowl Champion Rich Seubert.

Number 4 Sayreville dropped out at 0-3, their first such start in recent memory.  It’s their first time out of the poll since the Final in 2017, a season the Bombers finished 6-5.

Following are the Week 2 rankings, with teams followed by records and previous rank:

  1.  Piscataway (3-0, 1)
  2.  Somerville (3-0, 2)
  3.  Ridge (2-0, 3)
  4.  Woodbridge (3-0, 5)
