PIscataway's Khristian Hernandez interviewed by WCTC Sports after his 2 touchdown performance against Sayreville on Friday, September 13, 2019.
For the 13th straight week – the longest stretch since by any area team at least 2008 – the Piscataway Chiefs sit atop the WCTC Central Jersey High School Football Top Ten.
But that isn’t the only notable fact about the Week Two rankings: the New Brunswick Zebras came in 10th this week, their first time in the Top Ten since 2016, when they were in the Preseason and Week 1 rankings, but dropped out in Week 2.
Following are the 2019 Week 2 rankings, with each team followed by record and previous rank:
- Piscataway (2-0, 1)
- Somerville (2-0, 2)
- Ridge (1-0, 7)
- Sayreville (1-1, 4)
- Woodbridge (2-0, 5)
- St. Joseph-Metuchen (1-1, 6)
- North Brunswick (1-1, 3)
- Middlesex (2-0, 8)
- Hillsborough (2-0, 9)
- New Brunswick (2-0, NR)
Dropped out: #10 Edison (1-1)
