Governor Phil Murphy is at the Statehouse in Trenton today, rehearsing his first State of the State address which will be delivered Tuesday before the legislature.  Murphy is expected to tout his successes such as re-instituting funding for Planned Parenthood, strengthening New Jersey’s already strict gun laws and signing one of the strongest equal pay laws in America.

Political pundits expect Murphy to offer a measured assessment of his first year because lawmakers still haven’t passed several of his key campaign pledges, including legalizing recreational marijuana and mandating a 15-dollar-an-hour minimum wage.
