Tonight at 6 pm, it's the return of "Friday Night Football USA" presented by St. Peter's University Hospital on 1450 WCTC. The show - which focuses on the weekend in Central Jersey High School Football and is entering its second season - will be hosted by Dom Savino, but Mike Pavlichko will fill in for the initial broadcast of the year. There will be plenty to talk about in Week Zero of the high school football season!
The creator and operator of the Born Power Index, Bill Born, is scheduled to appear on the show. The BPI is one of the new rating factors to be used when seeding the state playoffs, along with the traditional power points. Born will discuss how he created the formula, and give us some of the basics on how teams are judged using his "spread."
Also on the docket:
- Big season opening wins for the Brunswicks: North, and No. 2 South
- Preview of tonight's season opener for No. 3 Bridgewater-Raritan at Elizabeth with Panthers head coach Scott Bray
- Postgame comments from Hillsborough kicker Franklin Wasserman, whose 38-yard field goal gave his team a wild 27-25 road win at Colonia
