Hot Tuesday Expected For Garden State Today

The heat is still on in the Garden State as the National Weather Service is calling for another excessive heat warning today.  Bergen, Passaic, Essex and Union counties are heading for another stifling day that may again see heat index values hit as hot as 105 degrees this afternoon.  An Ozone Action Day has also been declared, so anyone with sensitive lungs or breathing problems are advised to skip strenuous outdoor activities during the hotter moments of the day.  If you're fortunate enough to have the day off, keep in mind that beaches along the Jersey Shore are expected to top out in the relatively cool lower 80s, although thunderstorms are possible.
