The charges against President Trump's former campaign chairman in the Russia Probe are being unsealed. Paul Manafort was indicted on charges including conspiracy, money laundering and other charges. The indictment says more than 75 million-dollars "flowed through offshore accounts" and refers to Manafort's "hidden overseas wealth to enjoy a lavish lifestyle in the United States." Manafort's former business associate Rick Gates was also charged and both were told to surrender. Manafort arrived at the FBI's Washington field office this morning with his lawyer. The two are scheduled to make their initial court appearances at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
These are the first arrests in the special counsel's investigation into accusations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian interference in last year's election. Manafort served on the Trump campaign from April to August 2016 before he resigned. He has been under investigation in connection with his lobbying work for a Russian-backed Ukrainian political party.
