Breast Cancer Awareness Month

According to the Mayo Clinic, a “mastectomy is a surgery to remove all breast tissue from a breast as a way to treat or prevent breast cancer.” Post surgery, both men and women can choose to have elective surgery in order to reform the breast. Some may even choose to add a tattoo to decorate their breasts. Here are 7 people who rock their mastectomy scars.

This woman lost both of her breasts due to cancer. In order to commemorate the battle she went through, she tattooed this decoration on her chest with the saying “true friends walk thru the fire with you”. Isn’t that the truth!

2. Inked Magazine Superstars

Tattoo magazine, Inked will be having a special breast cancer edition featuring these two ladies! Both women are breast cancer survivors who decided to decorate their chests with beautiful black and white flowers.

3. Woman are Strong!

5. Survivor Sisters

These two ladies crossed paths and decided to bare their scars. They call themselves the “survivor sisters” and are certainly proud of their journey.

Before, during and after! The final stage reveals a gorgeous flower blooming on her chest.

7. Beach Beauty

This strong woman proudly revealed her scars during her beach photoshoot. The road may have been tough, but she was certainly tougher.
