A New Jersey high school celebrated a lunch lady's 95th birthday with a marching band, cheerleaders and hugs.
Evelyn Kiss has been working in the cafeteria at Edison's J.P. Stevens High School since the school opened in 1964.
During each lunch period on Thursday, Kiss sat and greeted students and teachers near the cafeteria exit.
Kiss says she took the job 51 years ago because she had never worked in a kitchen before and was intrigued by the experience. She wakes at 5 a.m. and spends time with other workers before lunch duty begins.
Kiss says she just wanted to come back each year because the students are always happy. And she says she'll keep working, as long as she can walk.
