Vinok - Ukrainian Floral Headdress Workshop with Natalie Warchola
The vinok is a Ukrainian floral headdress or crown, traditionally worn by girls and single women on festive occasions. Today, the vinok remains part of the Ukrainian attire and has transitioned into a popular decorative headpiece. Women of all ages and marital status wear the vinok in support of national pride.
The workshop will be led by folk artist Natalie Warchola, who has been practicing Ukrainian traditions passed down to her for over 35 years. She shares her knowledge by teaching the cultural arts to the next generation.
