Teachers Striking In Jersey City

Jersey City teachers walked the picket lines in front of schools Friday.  Some 31-hundred teachers went on strike after talks broke down at Thursday night's board meeting.  Teachers have been working without a contract for eight months and are not happy they have to pay so much for health insurance premiums.  The district brought in substitutes and planned in dismissing schools early.

Teachers rallied at a school board meeting on Thursday night as administrators and the union tried to work to come to a deal.  School administrators say they're working to find common ground to hammer out a contract.
