Measles Alert Issued After Boy With Disease Visits Newark Liberty Airport

New Jersey health officials are issuing a measles alert after a child with the illness came into Newark Liberty International Airport earlier this week.  Authorities say the youngster arrived from Brussels and then took a flight to Tennessee Monday afternoon.  He traveled through Terminal B and C. Anyone who was at the airport between 12:45 and 9 p.m. Monday could have been exposed to the virus.  Anyone who has not been vaccinated and who was at the airport during that time is urged to call their doctor. Measles has a 14-day incubation period.
