NJ Bear Hunt Kicks Off

New Jersey's bear hunt kicks off today and it may be the last for a while.  New Jersey's incoming Governor Phil Murphy has promised to put a moratorium on the bear hunt in an effort to see if its the most effective bear control for the state.  He said in a statement that his first concern will always be public safety, but before he authorizes another bear hunt, a fuller understanding and proof it works better than non-lethal options must be explored.  The bear hunt takes place in parts of Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Somerset and Mercer counties through December 9th.
