More Guilty Pleas In Short Hills Mall Murder

Two more people are pleading guilty in the carjacking murder of a man at the Short Hills Mall.  The last two defendants, including the gunman, pleaded guilty Tuesday to the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Dustin Friedland in December 2013. Under terms of the plea deal, gunman Hanif Thompson must serve 30 years before being eligible for parole.  His accomplice, Karif Ford of Newark, must serve 17 years of his 20 year term before he could be paroled.  Prosecutors say the pleas bring "some finality to the case, which has been an unspeakable nightmare for the family."
