Piscataway's dominance separates them from Sayreville to take Top Spot in Week 1 WCTC Top Ten

In the preseason WCTC Central Jersey High School Football Top Ten, Piscataway and Sayreville shared the top spot.

But after the opening weekend of play, the Chiefs stand alone.

On the strength of a dominating 64-7 home win over New Brunswick - coupled with Sayreville's initial struggles to pull away from East Brunswick in a 48-21 victory - the Chiefs are the Number One team in the Week 1 Top Ten rankings.

Overall, nine of the teams in the Top Ten won opening weekend, with the only loss coming from Old Bridge, and against another ranked team in South Brunswick, 35-6.
