NJ Cop Shot While Nabbing Bombing Suspect Charged With DWI

A hero New Jersey cop shot while nabbing the Chelsea bombing suspect is facing DWI charges. Police Officer Angel Padilla  was arrested by fellow Linden cops last Saturday after his Jeep collided with a car. Padilla was charged with driving while intoxicated and placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.  The 49-year-old police officer is credited with helping to apprehend Ahmad Rahimi  after spotting the fugitive sleeping on the steps of a Linden bar last September.  Rahimi is charged with the New York bombings that injured several dozen people, as well as attempted bombings in Seaside Park and Elizabeth.
