NJ EZ-Pass Drivers Not Getting Discount In New York

Millions of New Jersey drivers who have EZ-Pass are being charged the cash rate at bridges and tunnels in New York City.  An EZ-Pass discount is advertised at all bridges and tunnels in New Jersey and New York. However, a study by Triple A Northeast shows EZ-Pass accounts not registered in New York are not getting that discount when using MTA owned crossings like the Verrazano and Throgs Neck bridges and Queens Midtown Tunnel.  Triple A says 70 million New Jersey drivers with EZ-Pass were charged the cash rate between 2012 and 2016.
