Christie Gets Unanimous Support From NJ Lawmakers On Lottery Proceeds

Governor Christie is getting united support from New Jersey lawmakers on both sides of the aisle on his state pension rescue plan. Budget committee members in both the Senate and Assembly voted unanimously last night to funnel lottery ticket proceeds to the state workers' pension fund. It's been operating in the red for decades and is widely considered one of the worst in the nation. Christie says an infusion of lottery cash will help reduce New Jersey's unfunded pension liability.
