(Trenton, NJ) -- Employees are suing Chipotle for allegedly failing to pay overtime. A lawsuit filed Wednesday in a New Jersey federal court claims employees at the restaurant chain are entitled to overtime pay under a recent Labor Department rule. The rule passed during the Obama administration expands overtime pay to salaried workers. The lawsuit says the rule still applies even though a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction to block the Labor Department from enforcing it. A lawyer for the employees says the injunction stops the Labor Department from enforcing it, "but says nothing about private enforcement." A Chipotle spokesman told the "Huffington Post" that it complies with the laws, and that the suit is nothing more than an allegation that proves absolutely nothing.
