The Atlantic City police officer shot in the head while on duty in September is speaking out about the state's proposed cuts to the city's police department. Officer Josh Vadell is among those set to speak at a news conference in City Hall. The cuts include slashing workers' compensation by 30-percent, as well as reduced pay. The police union is suing the state over the cuts, which were authorized as part of the state takeover of the city. The Atlantic City Fire Department is also joining the effort because it's facing a roster cut of about a hundred firefighters.
