DOT Crews Salting NJ Highways To Fight Black Ice

You may notice Department of Transportation crews on the roads today in New Jersey. They're out with salt spreaders trying to prevent and fight black ice.  State Police say there were 228 accidents during yesterday's blizzard, despite Governor Christie's state of emergency order. Snowfall amounts varied, with northern New Jersey getting the most.  Vernon and Wantage got 19 inches, while Englewood, Mahwah and Basking Ridge got ten.  Edison and East Brunswick got seven inches, while towns in Monmouth County got two to four inches.
