Senator Cory Booker says today is a good, safer day in America. The New Jersey Democrat made the comment following an appeals court ruling upholding a temporary restraining order that halts President Trump's travel ban. He says that the decision asserts that "Donald Trump doesn't seem to want to accept that he isn't above the law." Booker says Trump's ban on travel from seven mainly Muslim nations undermines what our country stands for. He adds that it makes us less safe, not more. Booker notes that the ban characterizes a "war on Islam" rather than a "war on evil terrorists."
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals today upheld a judge's suspension of the ban on the immigration travel ban.
