Driver charged in crash that killed a father and young daughter

Police have charged a driver involved in a multi-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Hudson County Extension that left a teacher and his 6-year-old daughter dead.

Thirty-six-year-old Scott Hahn, of Hamilton, faces charges of manslaughter and vehicular homicide. Bail was set at $1 million cash after his arrest Tuesday at a hospital where he was treated for injuries he suffered in Monday's crash. It wasn't known if Hahn had an attorney.

Authorities say Hahn's car rear-ended a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Timothy O'Donnell in Jersey City. The crash occurred as the Bayonne man was slowing down with westbound traffic near a toll plaza.

O'Donnell's car went through the tolls and into the eastbound lane, where another vehicle hit it.

O'Donnell and his daughter Bridget were pronounced dead shortly afterward.
