Police say a North Jersey man pawned thousands of dollars in items stolen from a Nutley home earlier this month. 24-year-old Dexter Banks was charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property.
Police say the Belleville resident used a garbage can to enter a Romano Street home through an unlocked window on Aug. 4. They say he then raided the master bedroom along with other parts of the house.
Police say Banks pilfered an undisclosed amount of items valued at "several thousands of dollars" and sold them to a local pawnbroker.
