The Governor and Republican presidential candidate is introducing his proposalsin Camden, where. crime rates have fallen sharply in the last two years after a Christie-backed deal replaced the city's police force with a larger county-run force.
Christie points to Camden as a national model for rebuilding trust between law enforcement and residents. The governor and former prosecutor also wants to see changes in the bail system to keep violent offenders off the streets.
